1535 - Bringing community, industry and K-12 educators together through Green Chemistry
education and outreach

Amy S. Cannon,, Beyond Benign, Wilmington, MA 01887, United States

Community education is an
essential piece to an environmentally, socially and economically prosperous world.
Beyond Benign seeks to educate community and K-12 students and teachers in
order to inspire future scientists and to create more informed consumers and
voters who are able to support a growing industrial market based in concepts of
Green Chemistry and sustainability. This presentation will highlight programs
at Beyond Benign that bring green chemistry into classrooms, connecting
business leaders to their regional communities, including Beyond Benign's green
chemistry outreach ambassador program, which connects college student
ambassadors directly with K-12 students.
